People always ask us, “Do I really need a fresh coat of paint?” Of course not. Paint isn’t like oxygen; you don’t need it to survive. What you do need is happiness, tranquility, and a beautiful place to call home or work. That’s the power of paint.

Our friendly, laid-back but professional nature makes Procoat exceptionally easy to work with. You’ll never feel like you’re chasing us down for answers. In fact, you can always call with a question, comment, or concern. We’ll do whatever it takes to meet your needs.

So, What Is It That We Do...Do?

We’ve got painting down to a science, so you don’t have to worry. We’ll get the job done, and we’ll get it done right.

We only use the best at Procoat. Our high-quality paints will leave your home or business looking new for years to come. What’s more, our workmanship is backed by warranty, and we maintain a $1 million general liability insurance policy. A two-year warranty covers all our work, but you can also opt for a five-year extended warranty.

What are we painting? Well, a few things:

  • Residential: Your home is your castle. When Procoat is painting your castle, we strive for clear and open communication. Our in-home services begin with a comprehensive inspection, then a detailed action plan. We talk through any problems we find during this inspection, so you know exactly what’s going on.

  • HOA Projects: Ah, the homeowners association—the intersection between business and residential. Lucky for you, Procoat crosses this intersection daily. We work closely with HOAs and property management groups to ensure everything is up to code. We also have commercial crews that handle projects such as walls or fencing around the community.

  • Commercial: Painting a business is a delicate process. Thankfully, Procoat has the perfect touch. We’ll get your storefront looking as good as new with minimal disruption to your business. Deadlines are critical, especially with commercial projects. We work by your side so you know what’s happening 24/7.

In The Beginning, There Was Paint…

With six years in business, Procoat might be a young company. But our combined 30+ years of painting and contracting experience put us miles ahead of the rest. And that’s just in the Athens area!

We’ve used those decades of experience to create highly detailed processes, especially in commercial settings. As the saying goes, “Time is money.” We give your building the facelift it needs with as few disturbances as possible.

Procoat painting wouldn’t be where it is today without three key things: timing, budget, and communication. Alone, they’re just boring words. But when combined, they facilitate a seamless professional experience for everybody involved.

Can I See Your License and Certifications, Please?

Professional painters have one significant advantage over your everyday contractor: they’re certified and licensed to paint in their state. Georgia doesn’t require many certifications, so we could have taken the easy way out. But cutting corners isn’t the Procoat way.

For instance, Procoat Painting is lead certified. This lets us work on buildings who's exterior or interior contain lead paint (don’t blame the son for his father’s sins).

We use robust internal training to ensure all our team members are up to speed on new standards and best practices in the beautiful world of painting. And on the rare occasion that we don’t know something, we rely on external support from reputable companies like Sherwin Williams and PPG.

Our Professional Approach to Your Dream Project

At Procoat, we’ve invested significant time into perfecting The Procoat Process. From first contact to the final brushstrokes, one of our dedicated team members will be with you every step of the way.

The Procoat painting process begins with a thorough inspection of the property. Our estimator will then hammer out every last detail with you. To secure your spot on our schedule, we ask for a 25% deposit.

Next, you’ll get a call from our production manager, who will explain the process in greater detail and set a start date. They’ll answer all your questions and ensure you feel 100% comfortable before the paint starts flying.

You’ll receive an hour of color consultation in the weeks before the start date. Our experts will zap you into the future, showing you what the finished project will look like. As we near the start date, we’ll watch the weather closely and finalize our timeline. As you can imagine, nothing ruins a paint job like rain.

Our project lead will then meet with you to discuss the team’s strategy. We don’t start until everyone is on the same page. During this step, our team will power-wash the exterior and repair any imperfections in the drywall.

As the paint flows, our project lead will maintain close contact with you. They’ll let you know when the team is arriving and how the project is going. They’ll also be ready to answer any questions you have.

When we’re done, you’ll take a final walk through the newly painted area. We’ll address any necessary touch-ups before we ask for final payment.

Behind Every Good Paintbrush Is a Good Team

Now that you know the company, it’s time to meet the team! At our Athens office, you’ll find three friendly faces: a customer support rep, a sales rep, and David, our Athens branch manager.

We also have a dedicated team of 50+ professional painters in the field. We can scale up or down depending on the project… not that you’ll ever need more than 50 painters. There aren’t many skyscrapers in Athens.

We cycle through the same few crews of skilled painters most of the time. If we need to pull more, we always can. Over the years, Procoat has worked with over 100 talented painting professionals. We only work with the best.

But Wait...There’s More!

Did you think this was over? Ha! We’re not letting you off that easily. Here’s a fun Q&A session with the faces of Procoat Athens: David and Kevin.

Q: If your company was a paint color, what would it be called, and what kind of space would it be perfect for?

A: Indigo! We’re basically the Indigo Child of the painting world! We’re strong-willed, creative, headstrong, and independent. If we could, we’d paint the biggest building in town indigo.

Q: If you had to create a masterpiece using only paint splatters, what would it depict, and what colors would you use?

A: Let’s start with the colors—definitely the Procoat colors: light blue, dark blue, and orange. As far as what we’d paint—a sunrise. After all, the sunrise is why we founded this company.

Q: If you could travel back in time and paint any historical structure, which one would it be, and what color scheme would you choose?

A: 710 Ashbury Street, better known as The Grateful Dead House in San Francisco’s Haight district. It’s just begging for a Dead-inspired kaleidoscope.

At Procoat, Painting Is Who We Are

As the painters were leaving my home, I noticed the final bill said, “Paint: $0.” I asked them, “Why aren’t you charging me for the paint?” They said, “Don’t worry, ma’am, it’s on the house.”

To be clear, Procoat Painting will charge you for the paint we use.

Jokes aside, Procoat promises professional, punctual, and high-quality work. If you’re thinking about painting your home or business, give us a call. We guarantee it’ll turn out better than hiring somebody with less experience, no insurance, and a knack for being late.

Head to our website, scroll down until you see the big white numbers, and punch them in. Our sales team can’t wait to speak with you. Let’s make something magical together.
